Band News:

December 4, 2006.We put a partial version of Go Baby Go on our sounds page. It will be on the next record. Check it out and let us know what you think. This may not be the version that ends up on the record, but it will be close. Watch for a few more songs to be added in the next few weeks. I'll also put it up on our myspace page shortly.

We played an acoustic show the night before Thanksgiving down at the Mercury -- turned out to be a lot of fun -- we played some songs we hadn't played in a long time and played some different versions of some songs we play a lot. I think we'll do that again once in a while. Thanks to everybody that came out to that show.

A reminder, Thee Bad Jacks tonight at the Mercury.

Be sure to plan on coming to our New Years Eve show at the Mercury. It'll be the best party in town.

Talk to you later,

Pat

November 28, 2006.We've moved my Monday solo shows at the Mercury Lounge back to 9:00 PM. The crowd is better later, so I'm going to play later.

On Monday November 20, I had the privilege to open for the Kissers from Madison Wisconsin. They put on a great show. Be sure to catch them the next time they come through town. They play some great Irish rock and they add a lot of other styles to the mix.

Next Monday (December 4th), I'll be opening for Three Bad Jacks. They're a rock and roll trio from LA. Don't miss this show! I'll probably go on about 8:00. Come early and get a good spot.

We booked a show down in OKC in February. It's been a while since we played down there. Hopefully we'll see a bunch of our old friends.

We're also working on a trip up to Kansas City and Des Monies. Stay tuned for details.

Cheers,

Pat

November 06, 2006.We've started recording between shows. It's going pretty well. We have tried to not book any shows in December so we can concentrate on it. I'm hopeful that this will be our best record yet.

We're going to do a late set at the Mercury Lounge this Saturday (Nov 11) in support of one of our favorite bands, Three Penny Upright. It's their CD release party. Come down and check them out and buy the CD, it's great. They go on at 10:00 and we'll go on about 12:30

We're doing two more shows at the Mercury this month -- Saturday the 18th and a special acoustic show on Weds 22nd. It's the night before Thanksgiving -- be there!

We played our last show at Arnie's -- it's been a good 6 year run, but times change and we need to move on -- can't deal with that any more. May the spirit of Arnie's R.I.P.

I'm still playing an early show every Monday at the Mercury. We've changed the time to 7:00 -- 10:00. It's always fun, come down and check it out.

Mark your calendars -- We're going to rock the Mercury Lounge on New Year's Eve -- it's becoming a tradition.

My tip of the month -- go check out My-Tea Kind at the Mercury on Friday, November 17 - great band!

See you out and about,

Pat

August 18, 2006.It's been a busy summer for us -- Lots of shows.

Karen is playing shows with us again. Karen and Nathan's beautiful new baby, Alexandra, is already coming out to see mom play.

In September, we'll be pretty busy playing. We're going to try and take off October to get started recording. The new songs are coming along pretty well.

I'm playing a happy hour solo show every Monday at the Mercury, 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Come down after work and shake those Monday Blues with some live music and a beer, or shot, or glass of wine.

Later,

Pat

March 29, 2006.We've been having some fun. Our trip to Midtown in Little Rock was fun as always.

We opened for Th' Legendary Shack Shakers again. That's always a blast. Great Crowd. We were all coherent this time and it was a pretty good set. Their new CD, Pandelirium, is great. It has a great circus feel to it. Kind of reminds me of the band Firewater.

I had the great honor of open for Billy Joe Shaver down at the Mercury Lounge. What a legend. For those of you who don't know, he wrote 90 percent of Waylon Jenning's Honky Tonk Heroes album (Waylon's breakout record -- 1973). He's made countless great records. Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Elvis Presley, among others, have covered his songs. It was a good crowd. They were all into it. I think that was the best response I've ever had at a solo show. There were some loud rowdy people up front that wouldn't shut up. They were kind of pissing me off and I gave them a few dirty looks. I figured they would shut up when Billy Joe got up there, but they didn't. They pissed him off as well. I should have embarrassed them into shutting up when I was on stage so Billy Joe wouldn't have had to deal with it. As they say, hind site is 20/20. Anyway, he put on a great show and there is a rumor he's coming back in June. And as rumor has it, I'll be opening and the band will be closing the show, so stay tuned.

Then only three days later, we opened for the great Junior Brown at Unit D. Once again, it was a great crowd and a great show. He makes me want to work on my chops. One hell of a band too. Pete, the drummer, plays a drum solo that will drop your jaw. We also had a little self-indulgent drunken jam later -- big fun (for us anyway).

On Saturday, April 15th, we'll be opening for Wayne "The Train" Hancock at the Mercury Lounge. We're looking forward to that. Those boys always put on a hell of a show and get great sound. We're going to play loud and Electric -- try to put some heat on those guys, HA. Come down and check it out, it will be a blast.

Check out one of my solo shows on the 4th Wednesday of every month at the Mercury Lounge. It makes for a nice mid-week break.

The new songs are coming along slowly but surely. Hopefully we'll start recording some of them soon.

Cheers,

Pat

January 9, 2006.I know I haven't updated the news for over a year, and it's long over due. We have been selected to compete in Battlerusa at the Cain's ballroom on Thurdsay Janruary 26. We're looking forward to that. The winner gets a slot at Wakarusa in June. Wakarusa was a blast last year. A lot of my favorite bands were there: The Gourds, Split Lip Rayfield, Son Volt, Wilco, Junior Brown etc. etc. Come out and cheer us on. It's only a $6 cover and the doors are open at 6:00 PM.

We played the Crossroad Soundstage west of Skiatook, Saturday. It's a cool little place where the entire influence is on live music. They're having lots of great bands so go check them out.

We'll be back at Arnie's Bar Saturday, January 14. After 4 years of playing there, it is still always a blast. Come out and have a pint of Guiness or Harp.

I'll be doing a solo acoustic show at the Mercury Lounge once a month this year. It's the 4th Wednesday of the month (3rd Wednesday this month -- 18th). It's a little different than the ragband shows, so come down and help me out when you can. We had a great time down there on New Years Eve -- the place was packed.

On the 21st of January, we'll be over in Little Rock at Midtown Billiards. Late night fun at it's best. Giant Blue Ribbon cans and the best burger you've ever had. It's worth the road trip folks. Where else do they let us play until 4:45?

We've got a bunch of new songs and plan on starting to record soon. Come and check us out when you can.

Later,

Pat
