Our Short Story:

This Tulsa based rootsy rock and roll band draws on many styles of American music of the last 100 years -- Blues, Ragtime, Rockabilly, Folk, Punk and everything in between. Their unique and varied style makes it pretty hard to draw comparisons to other bands. They are extremely energetic, the songs are catchy, and the band is tight. Musicianship is at the forefront of what they do and crowds respond. Their latest album "My Side" was released on Horton Records in late 2015. It received great reviews and It's still getting radio play all over the world. A new record is in the works and they are playing some of the future releases live.

"Why they are not more of a household name in the music biz is beyond me."

- TwangriLa

"Picking a favorite on My Side is a tough endeavor since everything is truly top notch."

- TwangriLa

"The Electric Rag band reminds one of the nascent era of the deep blues and underground country scenes when the definitions for the music were nebulous, but the music always found an amiable sound. It is a respect for all styles of roots music forms but a devout loyalty to none in particular that go into that acquired underground roots taste."

- Saving Country Music

"terrific grooves and riffs that keep their music from ever becoming repetitious or tiresome."

- 3rd Coast Music

"There's a tendency in my line of work to maybe take things a little to seriously, but the Cooks are a reminder that sometimes music is just fun."

- 3rd Coast Music

"a knack for fusing many types of roots genres into a natural sounding Americana stomp."

- Roots Rock Review

"original and entertaining songs."

- Greg Gaughan -- WBZC Pemberton, NJ

"Elements of blues, ragtime, rockabilly, country and rock all come together to create something that's both unique and familiar at the same time."

- Urban Tulsa

"The tunes are more complex than any three-chord rock ditty, and they combine a rich mix of blues, Americana, rockabilly, ragtime, country, folk and straight-up rock 'n' roll."

- Tulsa World

"ERB's intoxicating blend of sounds is fermented in the history of all American music, from Piedmont blues to punk rock. It's drinking music. It's dancing music. It's thinking music."

- Tulsa World
